Plate with smooth PEI surface on both sides 355x355mm - Black Edition Voron 2.4 Trident

The Double Sided PEI Coated Sheet (Smooth) is a flexible and removable printing plate made of 0.5 mm thick steel and coated on both sides with Ultem 1000 PEI, a durable and strong material.

With a size of 355x355 mm, this plate fits perfectly on small 3D printers Voron and is easily attached by magnets.

This plate provides excellent adhesion during printing and simplifies removal of templates, ensuring an efficient and uncomplicated printing experience.

Advantages:

• Excellent adhesion for materials such as PLA, reducing the risk of part detachment, even with small first layers.
• Durability: the surface is durable and can be reused for a long time, with proper maintenance.
• Easy removal of prints: after cooling, you can flex the plate to easily remove pieces.
• Easy maintenance: requires little effort to keep the printing surface clean and functional.

Disadvantages:

• PETG, PC, TPU and other materials can adhere too strongly to the smooth surface, risking damage; you need to use spray, glue stick or Magigoo as a protective barrier.
• Bubbles under PEI: Small bubbles may appear under the PEI surface over time, but these do not affect the quality of the print and tend to disappear.
• Wear over time: adhesion may decline after 1-2 years of heavy use, but can be renewed with light sanding with fine-grit sandpaper (600-1000).

Care and Maintenance:

• Regular cleaning with 90%+ isopropyl alcohol or denatured alcohol, using a microfiber cloth.
• If the surface becomes too smooth, it can be lightly sanded with fine-grit sandpaper to restore adhesion.
• Do not use acetone or other strong chemicals that could damage the surface.

Considerations:

• When changing plate type (e.g., from smooth to textured), the Z- value should be adjusted-offset.
• For materials such as PETG, ABS, TPU, it is important to use a protective barrier to prevent damage to the smooth surface.
• Bubbles or small defects such as dents may appear in PEI but do not affect the quality of printing.
• Not covered by warranty: normal surface wear and tear is not covered by warranty, as it is considered consumable
