The Double Sided PEI Coated Sheet (Textured) is a flexible, removable printing plate made of 0.5 mm thick steel and coated on both sides with Ultem 1000 PEI, a durable and resistant material.
With a size of 256*256mm, this plate fits the following Bambu Lab printers perfectly:
- X series: X1C - X1E
- P series: P1S - P1P - P2S
- A series: A1
Main features:
- Double-sided with textured PEI coating, ideal for a wide range of filaments such as PLA, PETG, ABS, TPU and polycarbonate.
- Flexible and removable: easy to detach, simply flex the plate slightly to remove prints after they have cooled.
- Offersexcellent adhesion, especially for prints with corners or small areas of the first layer.
- Scratch resistant: can be used with metal squeegees, although it may show cosmetic scratches.
- 0.5 mm thicksteel for strength, with strong adhesion to printer magnets.
- Fast heating performance, reducing waiting time between prints.
This plate provides excellent adhesion during printing and simplifies the removal of templates, ensuring an efficient and uncomplicated printing experience.
Advantages:
- Excellent adhesion for materials such as PLA, reducing the risk of part detachment, even with small first layers.
- Durability: the surface is durable and can be reused for a long time, with proper maintenance.
- Easy removal of prints: after cooling, the plate can be flexed to easily remove parts.
- Easy maintenance: little effort is required to keep the print surface clean and functional.
Disadvantages:
- Wear over time: adhesion may diminish over time, but can be renewed by light sanding with fine grit sandpaper (600-1000).
Care and Maintenance:
- Regular cleaning with warm water and mild soap, using a microfibre cloth.
- If the surface becomes too smooth, it can be lightly sanded with fine-grit sandpaper to restore adhesion.
- Do not use acetone or other strong chemicals that could damage the surface.
Considerations:
- When changing the plate type (e.g. from smooth to textured), the Z- valueoffset must be adjusted.
- Bubbles or small defects such as dents may appear in the PEI but do not affect the quality of the print.
- Being a textured surface, the planes may show small differences in texture.
- Not covered by warranty: normal wear and tear of the surface is not covered by warranty as it is considered consumable

Please note that other slicer settings may need to be adjusted depending on the model to be printed and the characteristics of the filament.
Recommended Temperatures and Adhesion
Information on ideal print bed temperatures and tips on using glue to ensure the best filament adhesion.
- PLA/PLA-CF/PLA-GF: Platen temperature 45~60℃ - no glue required
- ABS: Platen temperature 90~100℃ - glue recommended
- PETG/PETG-CF: Flatbed temperature 60~80℃ - glue not required
- PET-CF: Floor temperature 80~100℃ - glue not required
- TPU 85A/90A: Floor temperature 35~45℃ - glue not required
- TPU 95A for AMS: floor temperature 35~ 45℃ - glue recommended
- ASA: floor temperature 90~100℃ - glue recommended
- PVA: floor temperature 45~60℃ - glue not required
- PC/PC-CF: surface temperature 90~110℃ - glue recommended
- PA/PA-CF/PAHT-CF: Flat surface temperature 90~110℃ - glue recommended
