What is a BLE Beacon?
A Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) Beacon, also known as a Bluetooth low energy beacon, is a small wireless device that transmits signals using BLE technology. These signals contain a unique identifier that can be detected by nearby Bluetooth-equipped devices, such as ESP32 or BLE scan-compatible smartphones. Beacons do not require pairing with other devices to transmit their data.

The Gravity BLE wireless sensor beacon, equipped with a built-in 11-bit ADC, can collect data from analog and digital sensors and transmit it via Bluetooth. Users can access sensor data within the transmission range using a Bluetooth-equipped device, such as a smartphone or ESP32.
Multi-Sensor Compatibility
This IoT sensor node with integrated 11-bit ADC can be used with analog and 3.3V digital sensors. By integrating your sensor with the Gravity: BLE Beacon Sensor, you can easily turn it into a wireless sensor. For example, in the past, a system for detecting soil moisture in the garden required placing a controller near each pot or using long connecting cables. Now, however, simply install a Gravity: BLE Beacon Sensor for each sensor to easily and instantly obtain soil moisture data for each pot!

Low Energy Consumption and Reduced Cost
This BLE Beacon sensor can run for months or even years on a single battery, making it ideal for long-lasting applications.
It is also highly customizable, with numerous options for configuring signal strength, transmission frequency and other parameters. For example, in smart locks for the home smart, the low power consumption eliminates the need for frequent battery replacement, greatly extending product life. When the user approaches the door, the lock automatically connects to their smartphone to verify identity and allow access.

Easy to Use
The setup process does not require any programming or specific knowledge of the Bluetooth protocol. Simply set up via an intuitive graphical interface. Once set up, the device powers up and functions as a Bluetooth beacon, automatically collecting sensor data and transmitting it externally. It is the ideal solution as a sensor node for the Internet of Things (IoT), such as for data collection in smart farms, offices, factories and warehouses.
Customizable Transmission Parameters
This BLE sensor is compatible with official iBeacon, Eddystone and other transmission formats, and also supports custom transmission formats. Users can configure the transmission format, signal sending interval and trigger conditions via dedicated configuration software to suit their needs. For example, retailers can use this device to detect iBeacon, Eddystone or other signals when customers enter a shopping mall, and send - via the configured format - personalized discounts or navigation information, thus enhancing the shopping experience.
- Gravity: BLE sensor beacons must be configured using the 3.3V USB-TTL tool.
- The sensor can only be programmatically written ("burned") once, so do not click "Burn/Program" before confirming the configuration information. You can test the module via the "Run in RAM" option, which can be used indefinitely before the final write. The system will reset at the next power supply.
