The AMS Hub is used to expand the number of AMSs connected to Bambu X1/P1 series printers from 1 AMS unit (4 channels) to a maximum of 4 AMS units (16 channels). This improves the feed rate between multiple AMS units and supports redundancy of a buffered signal.
A bus cable (4-pin) is required to connect the AMS Hub to the printer. In addition to the 4-pin cable, the Bambu Lab AMS Hub includes all the accessories needed to connect 2 AMS units to the printer.
To add additional AMS units, an additional Bus cable (6-pin) and PTFE tube must be ordered. To use 4 AMS units, it is necessary to order 2 additional Bus cables (6 pins) and 2 m PTFE tubing.

The picture is for reference only: when printing, it is advisable to place the AMS on the left side of the AMS Hub; otherwise, the filament in the PTFE tube could get stuck easily.

The printer's built-in buffer can only be connected to one AMS unit. By replacing it with the AMS Hub, the printer will be able to connect up to 4 AMS units.

Installation
- Mount the AMS Hub on the back of the printer, replacing the filament buffer (if present).
- Use the supplied 4-pin Bambu cable to connect it to the printer.
- Connect the first AMS via the 6-pin Bambu cable, then continue to connect the other AMSs in series using the same type of cable.
- Use the supplied PTFE tubing to connect the AMS Hub to the air tube connector on the back of the printer. The tube should pass between the 4-pin plug and the coil holder to reduce resistance.
- Based on the layout of the printer and AMSs, choose the most suitable length of PTFE tube for the connection. The tube should be as short as possible and avoid twisting in order to reduce resistance to filament feeding.
