ARDUINO MKR THERM SHIELD allows an MKR family board to acquire temperatures from a K-type thermocouple and a DS18Bxx single-wire digital sensor. The thermocouple is a type of temperature sensor that offers high accuracy and a wide range of measured temperatures. Its analog nature requires a specific interface and this shielding is based on the MAX31855 digital thermocouple interface. The two connectors of ARDUINO MKR THERM SHIELD allow the use of type K thermocouples with or without a plug connected to the metal wires. This board has its own library for reading the temperature measured by the thermocouple.
