Compound allPHA (pronounced Alpha) represents the ultimate bioplastic. PolyHydroxyAlkanoate (PHA) is made through a natural fermentation process: by feeding bacteria with natural sugars and oils, they produce "fat cells" (PHA).
The most outstanding feature of PHA? Microorganisms can feed on it again at the end of the product's life cycle.
The allPHA material decomposes completely in any biotope, leaving no microplastics behind.
The rate of decomposition depends on the thickness of the molded piece and the environmental conditions of the compost, such as temperature, humidity and microbial activity. This makes it very different from PLA, which is biodegradable only in industrial composting environments.AllPHA offers exceptional adhesion between layers under most printing conditions.
The material is durable, strong and stable up to temperatures above 120°C.It is the ideal choice for projects that require the highest level of sustainability.
