Compound varioShore Black is distinguished by a few key features:

• Variable Shore hardness, adjustable during printing.
• Low weight and density, due to the controlled expansion process.
• Soft touch (soft touch), ideal for applications requiring comfort and flexibility.

This material allows the density to be changed by varying the printing temperature and material flow (speed and layer height).

At temperatures between 200°C and 250°C, the material begins to expand to about 1.4-1.6 times its original volume, reducing the density to 0.7-0.9 g/cm³. Under this condition, it can be molded with low flux rates (60-70%) to compensate for the active expansion, resulting in very soft and lightweight parts.

At temperatures between 190°C-200°C, the material does not expand, producing stiffer, more compact surfaces, with hardness ranging from Shore 92A (unexpanded) to Shore 55A (highest degree of expansion).
