Duet 3 Toolboard is an expansion board with CAN-FD connection for the Duet 3 motherboard designed to provide complete control for an additional extruder. The stepper motor, heater, temperature sensor, fans, Z-probe and filament monitor sensor can be connected to the 1LC Toolboard. In this way to the Duet3 motherboard (or Tool Distribution Board), only the CAN-FD and power cables return.
Here are the main features at a glance:
- ARM Cortex M0 + processor running at 48MHz
- One stepper driver TMC2209 with stall detection and stealthChop. Maximum output current 2A peak, 1.4 A RMS
- One medium current output intended for the extruder heater, maximum current 5A
- One 12V 3-wire fan output (also accepts a 2-wire fan)
- One 4-wire fan output at 12V (also accepts a 2-wire fan)
- Two thermistor or PT1000 inputs. One uses a 16-bit ADC for high-resolution reading of PT1000 sensors.
- One 3-pin filament sensor connector (e.g., laser filament monitor Duet)
- One connector for Z-probe.
- Two push-buttons and indication LEDs
- 12 to 32V power supply input.
- Voltage regulators on the board: 12V, 5V and 3.3V.
- CAN-FD connects to Duet3 motherboard, Toolboard or expansion boards
Duet 3 Toolboard 1LC also includes a cable package:
