Bambu Lab PLA Silk Multi Color

Bambu Lab PLA Silk Multi Color filament is available in two versions: PLA Silk Dual Color and PLA Silk Gradient.

PLA Silk Dual Color is created by combining two vibrant silk-effect shades in one filament. By orienting the filament in different ways, amazing color variations can be achieved in the final print. PLA Silk Gradient allows 2 to 4 gradual and uniform color transitions per spool, creating refined multicolor effects in a single print. Both versions feature a silky texture and glossy finish for professional, visually striking prints.

Printing Tips

• Although Silk Multi-Color PLA is thoroughly dried and vacuum-sealed before shipment, transportation conditions can affect its moisture level. We strongly recommend drying it immediately after opening and storing it in a container sealed with desiccant or AMS. Repeat drying and moisture protection before each long-term storage period.
• Drying conditions: 55℃ for 8 hours. Store in a dry environment after use. If the material absorbs moisture, dry it before use.
• It is strongly recommended to reduce the outer wall speed to 40mm/s to optimize print quality.
• When printing with PLA Silk Dual Color filament, it is possible-albeit a very low percentage-for the filament to rotate causing uneven color transitions. A-series printers have a higher risk because of their special structure. Therefore, the use of PLA Silk Dual Color filament with these printers is not recommended.

Shaded effects

• The gradient effect depends on the amount of filament used, which can vary by adjusting the low-density fill, the amount of printing or the starting point of the filament on the spool.
• Each color segment of Bambu Lab PLA Silk Gradient filament stretches about 20 m (over 65 g).
• Using 40 m (over 125 g) of filament guarantees at least one transition between two colors.
• For four-color transitions (e.g., with Bambu Lab PLA PLA Gradient - Dawn Radiance), using 80 meters (over 250 g) of filament provides the full effect.
