Excellent first layer adhesion and increased durability

By optimizing the production process of Bambu Texture PEI Plate, the durability of the plate has been further improved.
In addition, the adhesion between the prints and the surface is greatly enhanced, eliminating the need for adhesives.
In some situations, glue is still required for very specific filaments.

Automatic release upon cooling

PEI is an excellent material for 3D printing applications because of its ability to withstand repeated heating and cooling cycles of the heated platen. Patterns are easily released when the platen temperature drops to room temperature; it is recommended to wait until it reaches 35℃ or less. Should the pattern still stick, simply flex the steel plate and the piece will fall directly into your hands.

Compatibility with various filaments

PEI enables printing not only with common materials such as PLA, TPU, PETG, but also with materials that require high temperatures such as ABS and Nylon.

Reliable magnetic adhesion to prevent deformation

The Bambu Texture PEI Plate features a 0.5mm-thick stainless steel plate, which improves magnetic adhesion.
This helps prevent warping and ensure optimal print quality by reducing the risk of first layer peeling due to warping. It is especially useful when printing large models with materials prone to warping such as ABS, PC and Nylon.

Textured surface finish

Bambu Texture PEI Plate provides a unique surface finish for the first layer. Using the powder coating process, this PEI printing plate creates a rough texture that transfers a textured finish to your models.

Considerations

• Increasing the temperature of the heated plate improves adhesion. Users should adjust the temperature of the platen according to their needs to achieve the most suitable level of adhesion.
• Before automatic leveling, it is necessary to repeatedly clean the nozzle in the dedicated cleaning area of the printing platen to completely remove any residual material from the tip. The coating in this area will gradually wear off over time-this is normal and does not affect either print quality or nozzle life, so there is no cause for concern.
• Dust and grease deposits on the printing plate will reduce adhesion. It is recommended to clean the surface regularly with detergent and water to maintain the best adhesion performance.
• Bambu Lab recommends using only official Bambu Lab glue on print plates. It is not responsible for any damage caused by the use of third-party glues. Do not clean the Textured PEI Plate with acetone, as it will damage the PEI surface.
• Always wait a few minutes before removing printed patterns to allow the plate to cool: this facilitates removal, prevents damage to the plate, and prolongs its life.
• Gently sanding the surface with fine-grit sandpaper (600 recommended) can help restore adhesion.
• The latest firmware has introduced significant improvements to the calibration of the Bambu Textured PEI Plate via the Micro Lidar, making it now fully compatible with the automatic calibration process.
• The Textured PEI Plate is considered a consumable component, subject to degradation over time. The warranty covers only manufacturing defects and not cosmetic damage such as scratches, dents or cracks. Only defective sheets received upon arrival are covered by the warranty.

• Step 1: Align the plate with the fixed points of the platform, with the name of the plate facing toward you.

• Step 2: Lower the plate and attach it to the magnetic platform.
