Looking for a reliable HotEnd at low cost? Lite6 is the entry level HotEnd of E3D, perfect for new users who print filaments such as PLA and ABS. Some users prefer lite6 in case they need to print exclusively PLA.
Easy to use
Think of Lite6 as V6's little brother: it's a low-cost HotEnd with a more modest specification, but still a great option for beginners and those on a budget. Despite being an entry-level HotEnd, it maintains the exceptional extrusion control you'd expect from an E3D product.
Great for everyday materials
The use of a PTFE coating creates a 240°C temperature limit, so it's not the ideal choice for printing high-performance technopolymers like Nylon, Polycarbonate or Ultem (for those, choose the V6, Hemera or one of the all-metal E3D Hotend s). Lite6 has a slightly shorter effective melt zone than V6, which means print speeds are more modest, but still completely appropriate for all but the very fastest 3D printers on the market. If you want to get more speed out of your machine, then, you can easily upgrade to the E3D Volcano system or the full V6.
Reliable
The Lite6's stainless steel body makes it incredibly robust and tolerant of the accidents that new users inevitably encounter. If the Lite6 crashes in a print, there is no chance of it breaking.
The stainless steel parts are incredibly thermally sound and are essentially impossible to damage with the included heater. This means that should your PTFE liner fail, you can quickly and easily replace it with a new one and return your Lite6 to full functionality.
Compatible
We reused as many parts as possible from the V6 and the rest of the E3D ecosystem. The beautiful polycarbonate fan duct, the proven 30mm ball bearing cooling fan. Most importantly we are using the same highly optimized nozzles and heating blocks to deliver great performance in the most important areas of Lite6
