ApolloX is a modified ASA-based 3D printer filament with improved mechanical properties and is suitable for 3D printing of mechanical parts and outdoor applications, ensuring high precision and low warping.
With high-speed 3D printing becoming increasingly popular due to the introduction of high-performance 3D printers, FormFutura is excited to introduce a number of new and improved existing materials to its range. These materials, while remaining compatible with traditional printers, have been fully optimised for the new high-speed 3D printing technology.
ApolloX is UV and weather resistant, making it ideal for outdoor and automotive applications. It combines high heat resistance with excellent impact resistance.
ApolloX is an industrial grade ASA filament, enhanced by the addition of five other polymers and modifiers. The material prints with a precision comparable to injection moulding. It exhibits perfect adhesion to the first layer and between layer and enables deformation-free printing (warping). For large objects, printing in a heated chamber is recommended.
ApolloX profiles are available on the Ultimaker Marketplace. ApolloX is an approved and validated partner material.

General printing guidelines *
| Nozzle size: ≥ 0.15 mm |
Height layer: ≥ 0.1 mm |
Adhesive: EasyFix Nr. I |
| Print temperature: ± 230 - 280 °C * |
Fan speed: 0 - 50% |
Experience level: Intermediate |
| Heated Platen: ± 90 - 110°C * |
Closed chamber: Yes, approx. 40°C |
|
* The above settings are only guidelines for finding optimal print settings. These ranges work for most printers, but you can experiment outside these values if deemed suitable for your printer. There are many different types of printers, hot-end and offset, so it is difficult to provide universal settings that work for everyone.
* When using high-speed printing, it may be necessary to further adjust the above settings.
Strong adhesion
ApolloX is an engineering grade material. We recommend using an adhesive on the print bed as a protective layer.
We recommend the use of EasyFix No. I as a print bed adhesive.
For medium to large prints, we recommend the use of a heated chamber.
