ApolloX Kevlar is a 3D printing filament that combines all the advantages of ApolloX, such as high precision and low warping, and is reinforced with 10% aramid fibres (Kevlar).
Compatible with high-speed printing up to 600 mm/s
With high-speed 3D printing becoming increasingly popular thanks to the introduction of new high-performance printers, FormFutura is excited to present a range of new and upgraded existing materials in its assortment.
These materials, while remaining perfectly compatible with traditional printers, have been fully optimised for the new high-speed 3D printing technology.
ApolloX Kevlar is a high-performance ASA filament reinforced with aramid fibres (Kevlar). Kevlar reinforcement makes this material shatterproof.
Kevlar does not break easily and significantly improves impact and damage resistance. ApolloX Kevlar is also very easy to print on open-frame desktop printers. There is no need for an enclosure or heated chamber.
The low material shrinkage and excellent adhesion between layer make ApolloX Kevlar extremely easy to print.

Filament reinforcement with aramid fibres (Kevlar) offers numerous advantages by combining the unique properties of both materials.
The properties of the thermoplastic are improved by the characteristics of Kevlar, which offers benefits such as:

This makes Kevlar-reinforced filaments perfect for 3D printing durable and hard-to-break components.
General printing guidelines*
Nozzle diameter: ≥ 0.1 mm Height layer: ≥ 0.05 mm Enclosure required: No Print temperature: approx. 255 - 265°C Fan: 0% Heated plate: approx. 85 - 95°C *The settings indicated are guidelines for finding optimal printing parameters. They may work for most printers, but you may experiment with different settings depending on the type of printer, hotend and calibration.
*During high-speed printing, the indicated parameters may require further adjustment.
Abrasiveness
Kevlar-reinforced filaments contain a significant amount of hard fibres with an abrasive nature.
These fibres accelerate the wear of brass nozzles much faster than unreinforced filaments.
We therefore recommend the use of hardened steel nozzles or ruby-tipped nozzles.Storage and handling
The filament should be stored at room temperature, in a dry, dark place, with a humidity of less than 15%.
Recommended storage temperature: approx. 18-25 °C
Protect from moisture, sunlight and direct heat sources
If stored correctly, the product has a shelf life of approximately 24 months.

L'ASA è il materiale consigliato per l'uso esterno. A differenza dell'ABS, l'ASA è altamente resistente ai raggi UV, non ingiallisce e mantiene le sue proprietà meccaniche anche sotto l'esposizione diretta del sole e degli agenti atmosferici.
Il PETG è un materiale molto viscoso. Per ridurre lo stringing, è fondamentale calibrare correttamente la temperatura di stampa e la distanza di ritrazione. Inoltre, assicurati che il filamento sia asciutto, poiché l'umidità assorbita peggiora drasticamente questo fenomeno.
In generale è sconsigliato, poiché ogni resina ha tempi di esposizione e composizioni chimiche differenti. Mescolarle potrebbe portare a fallimenti di stampa o a una polimerizzazione incompleta del pezzo.
La resina liquida è considerata un rifiuto speciale. Non deve mai essere gettata negli scarichi domestici. È necessario polimerizzare i residui liquidi (esponendoli al sole o a lampade UV) fino a renderli solidi, dopodiché possono essere smaltiti seguendo le normative locali sui rifiuti plastici speciali.
