ABS stands for acrylonitrile butadiene styrene and is a polymer known for its toughness, gloss and tactile feel.
It is used in many areas, from domestic, such as shells and gears of home appliances, or cosmetic containers; to industrial, with covers for plugs and drag bars and much more.
Its special formulation eliminates all odors, making Treed's ABS filaments very efficient.
To enhance the gloss and smooth the finish, printed objects can be processed with acetone gas, but be careful to take appropriate safety measures.
Printing with ABS is easy, but consider the deformation of the final object, which can be reduced by using a heated bed.
Exposure to sunlight weakens ABS, so its use in outdoor applications is not recommended.
