A way has been found to make PowerClaw's patented locks even better! They are now available with an integrated, TSA-recognized key lock. The easy-to-install retrofit kit can be installed on many* NANUK enclosures and adds an extra layer of security to your enclosure. Each lock has a special code from TSA001 to TSA003, which is used by the TSA, CATSA and other security agencies to know which secure tool to use to open the lock. TSA are the perfect accessory for storing, protecting valuables in your home, yard and vehicle.
Cases with short latch pin (Nanuk 908, 950, 960) Step 1 - Remove Powerclaw latch Open and secure latch in locked lower position. Use hammer and awl to slide it outward from case. Remove pin, use pliers if necessary. Remove latch. Step 2 - Install TSA Powerclaw latch Loosely install latch in locked lower position. ***Do not attach the top latch to the case before installing the pin.*** Insert the smooth end of the new pin into the case. Be careful to align the pin with the holes in the TSA latch Push the pin in as far as possible by hand. Use a hammer and punch to carefully install the pin with the surface of the case. Step 3 - Check Latch Operation Open and close the latch several times to ensure proper operation. Use key to verify lock/unlock function.
Long latch pin cases (Nanuk 918, 920, 925, 933, 935, 940, 945) Step 1 - Remove Powerclaw latch Open and secure latch in lower lock position Use wire cutter or pliers to remove pin by forcing outward Remove pin, use pliers if necessary. Remove the latch. Step 2 - Install TSA Powerclaw Latch Loosely install latch in locked lower position. ***Do not attach the top latch to the case before installing the pin.*** Insert the smooth end of the new pin into the case. Be careful to align the pin with the holes in the TSA latch. Push the pin in as far as possible by hand. Use a hammer and punch to carefully install the pin with the surface of the case. Step 3 - Verify Latch Operation Open and close the latch several times to ensure proper operation. Use the key to check the lock/unlock function.
