Performance
Using a 3: 1 gear ratio, precision milled gears and an adjustable tensioner lever, Titan is a powerful extruder while being lightweight and compact.
Energy
The 3: 1 gear ratio allows you to use lighter motors as you'll need less torque for the same filament pushing force, so direct drive setups will have a lighter moving carriage while Bowden setups will become more powerful and reliable when combined with a HotEnd V6.
Versatile
Titan works well for all configurations, bowden, direct, 1.75 mm and 2.85 mm. To alternate between filament diameters, simply replace the filament guide and Bowden / HotEnd adapter.
Speed
Extruders with high gear ratios often fail with fast retractions and struggle to keep up with the Volcano heated block. Titan's balanced gear ratio of 3: 1 means you can cope with fast extrusion situations like Volcano, and the lightweight gear set offers snappy retractions.
Resolution
Direct drive extruders can have issues with "pulsing" flow due to low gear tooth resolution, this can result in a wavy surface finish, becoming especially noticeable when printing at low layer heights. Using a 3: 1 gear ratio triples the resolution of the system, allowing for smoother printing at lower layer heights, using the smallest of nozzles.
