Buddy3D Camera for Prusa CORE One - Prusa

The Buddy3D Camera enables remote monitoring of prints via Prusa Connect and the Prusa mobile app. It is compatible with the Prusa CORE One 3D printer and requires a Wi-Fi connection to operate.

- The Buddy3D camera features high-quality optics and IR illumination, allowing you to monitor your printer(s) even in total darkness.
TIMELAPSE SUPPORT
Simply set the shooting interval in the app, between 5 and 300 seconds, and the camera will save a sequence of individual photos to an SD card (not included). To create a final timelapse video, a short edit in an external app is currently required, but soon it will be possible to download timelapse videos directly from the app.
FOR 24/7 OPERATION.
The camera offers 3 modes: Day, Night and Auto. While the Day and Night modes are intuitive, the Auto mode automatically switches between them based on room lighting conditions, ideal for 24/7 operating workplaces. The camera is designed to operate in temperatures up to 65°C, making it safe to place directly in the enclosure.
If the printer is located in another room, video can be streamed via the local network directly to the Prusa App. Plans are underway to expand this feature to support full online streaming in an upcoming update. The camera firmware is updated over-the-air, ensuring that the latest features are always available.
EASY TO USE
To pair the camera to the printer, open Prusa Connect or Prusa App, select the printer to pair the camera to, and show the QR code generated to the camera to connect it to Wi-Fi.
The camera attaches to the CORE One chassis via magnets.
FOCUS ON MAXIMUM SECURITY
The camera is manufactured by a third-party company, yet the entire process has been under the close supervision of the Prusa team. This includes the firmware, which has been carefully customized and tested by Prusa programmers. Your safety is Prusa's priority, so in addition to modifying and overhauling the firmware, the camera underwent extensive testing and network monitoring. All communication is strictly limited to interactions between the camera and the secure Prusa network infrastructure.
The camera is only compatible with Prusa Connect and Prusa App.
