3D PRINTING
3D printers are cool things! They produce some great looking parts right out of the printer. However, if you have a desktop 3D printer, you know that this is not always the case and all kinds of printing errors can occur. Removing the backing material can sometimes be a problem and what if you need to change the part after printing? You won't want to print the whole thing again if it can be avoided!.... That's where the MODIFI3D ORIGINAL finishing tool comes in. MODIFI3D ORIGINAL offers a low-cost solution for finishing, repairing and modifying 3D printed parts.
WHAT IS MODIFI3D ORIGINAL?
MODIFI3D ORIGINAL is a heated tool with specially coated interchangeable tips designed to finish, repair and modify 3D printed parts. MODIFI3D ORIGINAL is designed to replace much of the scraping sanding and finishing of your 3D prints.
MODIFI3D ORIGINAL's pen-like shape makes it very comfortable to use and extremely easy to control when precision is important. MODIFI3D ORIGINAL works with PLA, ABS and other 3D printing materials.

HOW MODIFI3D ORIGINAL WORKS
Finishing 3D prints should be easy and never a chore. Just plug in the USB, tap the switch and in less than 15 seconds you're ready to go. You'll be able to remove any unwanted material or modify your print without having to redesign and print again!
Place MODIFI3D ORIGINAL on its stand and in 25 seconds it will go into standby mode (a basic stand is included, but you can print your own stand/holder with the downloadable 3D file).
STEP BY STEP
1. Remove the protective cap (if used) and place the MODIFI3D ORIGINAL on the included stand.
2. Plug in the USB (USB 2.0 or 3.0 recommended).
3. Touch the metal switch to start warming up. A red light indicates that MODIFI3D ORIGINAL is on.
3. In less than 15 seconds, the MODIFI3D ORIGINAL will reach approximately 300ºC and is ready to use. To increase the temperature or reach the maximum of 420-450ºC continue to touch the metal switch until the desired temperature is reached.
4. If the MODIFI3D ORIGINAL is not used for 25 seconds, it will enter standby mode (the light goes out and the tip begins to cool). To awaken the MODIFI3D ORIGINAL, simply touch the switch gently and the warming process will continue.
5. Always unplug the USB if the MODIFI3D ORIGINAL is not in use.
QUICK TIP CHANGE
1. To change tips, disconnect the USB and allow to cool completely.
2. Unscrew the locking nut and pull out the tip
3. Push the replacement tip all the way in and tighten the locking nut
4. Plug in the USB
HOW TO CLEAN THE ORIGINAL MODIFIED TIPS
Over time you may want to clean the interchangeable tips. We recommend using a damp sponge to remove any plastic or residue from the tips. This works best when the tips are still hot (but obviously not hot enough to pose a burn hazard). Make sure the USB is unplugged and the tips have cooled to a safe temperature.
Do not use abrasive cleaning products. This can damage the special coating on the tips. - Read moreFor more information please contact us.

È necessario calcolare lo spessore dell'accessorio da fissare, aggiungere lo spessore della piastra (se presente) e la profondità utile della cava del profilo (solitamente 5-6mm per la serie 20). Il PETG è un materiale molto viscoso. Per ridurre lo stringing, è fondamentale calibrare correttamente la temperatura di stampa e la distanza di ritrazione. Inoltre, assicurati che il filamento sia asciutto, poiché l'umidità assorbita peggiora drasticamente questo fenomeno.
In generale è sconsigliato, poiché ogni resina ha tempi di esposizione e composizioni chimiche differenti. Mescolarle potrebbe portare a fallimenti di stampa o a una polimerizzazione incompleta del pezzo.
La resina liquida è considerata un rifiuto speciale. Non deve mai essere gettata negli scarichi domestici. È necessario polimerizzare i residui liquidi (esponendoli al sole o a lampade UV) fino a renderli solidi, dopodiché possono essere smaltiti seguendo le normative locali sui rifiuti plastici speciali.
