Carta del Docente 2025/2026: what's new
The Carta del Docente platform has been active since 9 March 2026 for the 2025/2026 school year. The amount of the bonus is €383 (reduced from €500 in previous years due to the enlargement of the number of beneficiaries). The most significant change concerns the purchase of hardware and software: from 2025/2026 it is allowed in the first disbursement window and thereafter only every four years. This means that the current year is the first useful window: if you want to buy a 3D printer or other devices, now is the right time.
The number of beneficiaries has been broadened and now includes tenured teachers, annual substitute teachers on vacant positions (until 31 August), teachers with an assignment until the end of teaching activities (30 June), and educational staff of boarding schools and educandati.
Which products you can purchase with Carta del Docente at DHM-online
According to the Ministry of Education and Merit's FAQ, the Teachers' Charter can be used to purchase hardware and software for professional development and teaching purposes. On DHM-online, products that can be purchased include 3D printers (Bambu Lab, CreatBot and other brands), 3D pens for teaching STEM, filaments for 3D printers, Arduino boards and sensor kits, Raspberry Pi and accessories, and components for robotics and automation labs.
If the product you are interested in is marked 'Teacher's Card' on the product sheet, it can be purchased with the bonus. If you can't find it but think the product is eligible, contact us and we will check it together.
How to buy on DHM-online with Carta del Docente: step-by-step procedure
Step 1: choose products
Browse the DHM-online catalogue and select the products you wish to purchase. Check that they are marked "Carta del Docente" in the product details. Take note of the total price including VAT.
Step 2: generate the voucher on the ministerial platform
Log in to cartadeldocente.istruzione.it with SPID or CIE. In the "Create Voucher" section, select "Online" as the exercise type and "Hardware and software" as the field (for printers, 3D pens, electronic boards) or the field appropriate to the type of product. Enter the amount corresponding to the total of your order. The system will generate an alphanumeric code: this is your Carta del Docente voucher.
Step 3: register on DHM-online
If you do not yet have an account, register at www.dhm-online.com. Registration is free of charge and only takes a few minutes.
Step 4: put the voucher in the shopping cart
Add the products to the shopping cart. On the shopping cart page, enter the Carta del Docente voucher code in the "promo code" or "Voucher" field. We recommend using copy-paste to avoid typing errors, taking care not to select blank spaces at the beginning or end of the code.
Step 5: complete your order
If the voucher covers the full amount, select the "No payment required" option at checkout. If the voucher only covers part of the amount, you can settle the difference with one of the standard payment methods (credit card, PayPal, bank transfer).

Can I buy a 3D printer with the Teacher Card?
Yes, 3D printers fall under the 'hardware' category in the MIM FAQ. Remember that from 2025/2026 the purchase of hardware is allowed in the first disbursement window and then every four years: take advantage of the current window.
Can I purchase filaments and consumables?
Filaments for 3D printers can fall under the category 'teaching aids' if they are functional for teaching activities. To check, check whether the product is marked 'Teacher's Paper' in the product sheet at DHM-online.
How long do I have to use the voucher?
The 2025/2026 bonus can be used until 31 August 2027 (two-year reference period). For those terminating their service on or after 1 September 2026, the expiry date is 31 August 2026.
Does the voucher also cover shipping?
At DHM-online shipping is free for orders over EUR 89 for Italy. If your order exceeds this threshold, you will not have to add anything for shipping.
Can I combine Carta del Docente and another payment method?
Yes. If the voucher does not cover the full amount, you can pay the difference by credit card, PayPal or bank transfer.
What do I do if my product is not marked with a Teacher's Card?
Contact us by email or via the contact form on the website. If the product is among those allowed by MIM, we will activate it for purchase with Carta del Docente within 24 hours.
