BIQU Panda Station: The Professional Organisation Ecosystem for Bambu Lab X2D
The BIQU Panda Station is not just a stand, but a modular infrastructure engineered to raise the standards of your 3D printing workstation. With the introduction of the new Bambu Lab X2D, the needs for space management, vibration and storage of technical materials have become critical. The Panda Station responds to these needs with an industrial design based on aluminium profiles and an intelligent storage system, making it the ideal partner for those working in rapid prototyping and end-part production.
Structural Engineering and Vibration Management
One of the key parameters of high-performance 3D printing, especially with the 20,000 mm/s² accelerations of the Bambu Lab X2D, is the stability of the support surface. The Panda Station is built with an aluminium frame structure, which gives the system superior structural rigidity compared to common office furniture or general supports.
This mechanical stability is essential for:
- Reducing the Ghosting effect: Dampening the inertia generated by the rapid movements of the X2D head.
- Preserving Vision Encoders: A stable support allows the printer's precision sensors to work without external interference, maintaining the 50 micron tolerance promised by the manufacturer.
- Safe Static Load: The load capacity is tested to support the weight of the printer plus fully loaded AMS 2Pro or AMS HT units without structural flexing.
Technical Storage and Hygroscopic Control
This is the already assembled Closed version of the Panda Station incorporates closing panels. This is not a purely aesthetic choice, but functional for material protection.
The advanced filaments used on the X2D (such as PAHT, PC, PVA or other soluble media) are extremely hygroscopic. The Panda Station creates a protected volume of air that reduces the moisture content to which the filament is exposed before entering the extrusion system. This 'pre-storage' is the perfect complement to the X2D's actively heated chamber, ensuring that the material does not arrive at nozzle already degraded by ambient moisture.
Optimising Workflow with Gridfinity System
Efficiency in a research laboratory is measured by the orderliness and speed of retrieval of parts. The Panda Station natively includes a Gridfinity-compatible tool drawer.
The Gridfinity system allows you to:
- Methodically catalogue new Nozzle from X2D.
- Organise spare sensors, cutters, glue (such as Magigoo, Dimafix or AprintaPro) and small mechanical components.
- Modularly expand the storage space by printing your own customised containers that fit perfectly into the station base.
Intelligent Lighting and Electronic Integration
Panda Station elevates the user experience through an integrated LED lighting system. A magnetic sensor detects when the door is opened, instantly activating a cool white light to inspect stored materials or tools.
For users wanting full home automation control, the station supports the Panda RGB Controller, a module to be purchased separately. Light effects can be configured to signal, for example, the end of a print job or the need for maintenance.
