ACTIVATED CARBON PELLETS Ø3MM - HIGH EFFICIENCY AIR PURIFICATION
Our 3 mm pellet activated carbon is a professional and versatile solution for air purification in domestic, professional and light industrial environments. Produced by means of a high-temperature steam activation process, they guarantee a high internal specific surface area and optimal adsorptive capacity towards a wide range of gaseous pollutants.
WHAT IS ACTIVATED CARBON AND HOW DOES IT WORK?
Activated carbon is a highly porous carbonaceous material in which each gram of product develops an internal surface area of hundreds or thousands of square metres. This microporous structure traps, through a physical phenomenon called adsorption, the molecules of gases, organic vapours and odour compounds that pass through the filter. Unlike a simple mechanical filter, activated carbon does not trap dust but substances in the gaseous phase: this is why it is the reference technology for odour and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) abatement.
MAIN APPLICATIONS
- COOKING HOODS: refill for activated charcoal filters of recirculating extractor hoods, replacing worn-out original cartridges.
- CABINETS AND SHELTERS: deodorising closed rooms, eliminating odours of mould, humidity, sweat and textiles.
- DOMESTIC AND COMMERCIAL ENVIRONMENTS: cellars, garages, storage rooms, blind bathrooms, technical rooms, pet beds.
- CABINETS AND ENCLOSURES FOR 3D PRINTERS: Absorption of VOCs emitted during the printing of filaments such as ABS, ASA, PETG, polycarbonate and nylon. Ideal for refillable filters installed inside closed chambers and print boxes.
- LABORATORIES AND HOBBY: amateur paint booths, light welding stations, resin and adhesive processing environments.
- SHOWCASES, DISPLAY CABINETS, STORAGE: protection of sensitive objects from corrosive gases and organic vapours in the air.

WHY CHOOSE THE 3 MM PELLET FORMAT
Compared to granular activated carbon (GAC) in mixed sizes or powdered activated carbon (PAC), the pellet format offers advantages
specific operational advantages:
- UNIFORM SIZE → homogeneous filter filling, without preferential air passage zones;
- REDUCED LOAD LOSS → lower flow resistance, ideal for fans with low static pressure;
- ABSENCE OF FINE DUST → minimised particulate matter during cartridge filling;
- EASY RECHARGE → pours directly into the container, without sieves or dedicated equipment.

This product is for use in air filtration applications only. It is NOT suitable for:

Specific activated carbons are required for these uses.
STORAGE AND DURABILITY
Activated carbon is a hygroscopic and adsorbent material: once the package is opened, it begins to adsorb moisture and compounds
present in the surrounding air. To preserve its capacity
- store in a dry, cool place, away from solvents and volatile chemicals;
- hermetically close the packet after each withdrawal, or transfer to a container with a tight seal;
- the filter life depends on the concentration of pollutants, relative humidity, air flow rate and temperature: approx. 3-6 months in a domestic kitchen hood, 2-4 months in an intensively used 3D printer cabinet.

L'albero in acciaio C45 è una soluzione standard ad alta resistenza meccanica, ideale per trasmissioni e supporti interni dove è prevista una lubrificazione costante. L'albero in acciaio INOX (come l'AISI 304 o 440C), invece, è indispensabile in ambienti umidi, alimentari o chimici, poiché offre una resistenza superiore all'ossidazione e alla corrosione, mantenendo inalterata la precisione superficiale nel tempo.
La scelta dipende dal carico statico e dinamico che la struttura deve sopportare e dalla distanza tra i punti di appoggio. Per carter e pannellature di riempimento su profili in alluminio, solitamente si utilizzano spessori tra 1,5mm e 3mm. Per piastre di supporto motori o giunzioni strutturali soggette a sforzi meccanici, è consigliabile salire sopra i 5mm per evitare flessioni e garantire la rigidità necessaria al sistema.
Queste sigle indicano la tolleranza dimensionale sul diametro dell'albero. Un albero rettificato con tolleranza h6 o h7 garantisce che lo scostamento dal diametro nominale sia minimo e sempre in negativo (leggermente più piccolo). Questo è fondamentale per permettere l'accoppiamento preciso con cuscinetti, boccole e manicotti a ricircolo di sfere senza gioco eccessivo o forzature che danneggerebbero i componenti.

La foratura o il taglio personalizzato sono essenziali per creare piastre di adattamento per motori, staffe di fissaggio o pannelli di interfaccia che si integrino perfettamente con le cave dei profili strutturali senza dover intervenire manualmente in fase di montaggio.
Presso la nostra officina interna eseguiamo lavorazioni di alta precisione per adattare gli alberi alle tue specifiche necessità tecniche. Le operazioni più comuni includono il taglio a misura, la realizzazione di fori, la maschiatura (filettatura), e la creazione di codoli.
La differenza principale risiede nella stabilità dimensionale e nella planarità della superficie. Mentre una lamiera di alluminio "normale" (commerciale) viene prodotta tramite laminazione a caldo o a freddo e può presentare tensioni interne e curvature residue, la lastra in alluminio 5083 rettificato subisce processi produttivi molto più rigorosi: planarità assoluta, assenza di tensioni interne, precisione dello spessore, qualità della superficie.
