Package contains: 1 x Photosensitive resistor 5528
The photoresistor (or photoresistor) is an electronic component whose resistance is inversely proportional to the amount of light that strikes it. It behaves like a normal resistor, but its value in ohms decreases as the intensity of light striking it increases. This means that the electric current flowing through this component is proportional to the intensity of a light source. In this way it is possible to realize a sort of potentiometer actuated by light rather than by mechanical forces or electrical signals.
