- Description
PPSU (polyphenylsulphone) is an ultra-performance amorphous sulphone polymer filament produced by Solvay. PPSU has a glass transition temperature of 220°C. Parts moulded with PPSU filament can operate at temperatures up to 180°C and is resistant to most fluids common in the automotive industry. It is designed to meet UL 94 V-0 standards with low smoke evolution and low smoke toxicity, making the filament extremely suitable for automotive applications.The material is qualified for unlimited steam sterilisation using EtO gas, radiation, steam autoclave, plasma, dry heat and cold sterilisation, which are ideal for use in the medical industry. PPSU also meets ISO10993 standards for medical applications.Compared to standard PEI filaments, PPSU offers greater impact and chemical resistance.

General printing guidelines
Nozzle diameter: ≥ 0.4 mm Height layer: ≥ 0.10 mm Experience level: Expert Print temperature: ± 360 - 400°C Fan speed: 0 - 25%. Drying: +4 hours at max. 110°C Heated plate: ≥ 120°C Closed chamber required: 90°C Adhesion: EasyFix No. VII *) The above settings are for guidance to find optimal printing conditions. These ranges work for most printers, but feel free to experiment outside these parameters if necessary. The variety of printers, hot-end and offset makes it difficult to provide 'universal' settings.
