- Description
Engineering LCD Series - Flex 63A Resin is a very flexible and extremely transparent 3D printing resin. The resin has a very low Shore A surface hardness of 63A.
The combination of flexibility and elasticity makes this engineering resin extremely versatile and suitable for a wide range of applications.
Key features
- Heat resistance up to 120 °C
- Excellent flexibility
- High elongation at break up to 80 per cent
- Good elastic properties
- Extreme transparency, with virtually no discolouration and/or yellowing
- High dimensional accuracy and low shrinkage
- Nearly odourless printing process
- Compatible with all SLA, DLP and LCD 3D printers open source with a wavelength of 385-405 nm
Applications
- Gaskets and seals
- Soft touch applications
- Functional prototyping
- Wearable devices
- Short-run manufacturing

Comparison of specifications - Engineering LCD Series
- Within the Engineering LCD Series, each resin is designed to emphasise a specific property.
- The comparison table (not included) shows the technical data of all Engineering LCD resins and allows a direct comparison based on mechanical properties.
- Note: the values shown may vary depending on the machine used, post-cure, part geometry, print orientation, print parameters and temperature.
Preparation before printing
- Shake the bottle for at least 2 minutes before each use
- After shaking, allow resin to stand for 10 minutes to allow air bubbles to escape
- Resin can be poured from the tank into the bottle at the end of printing
- Always use protective goggles and nitrile gloves when handling
Post-processing
- For best material properties, we recommend post-processing:
- Wash the moulded object in IPA or (bio)ethanol for about 5 minutes
- The use of an ultrasonic cleaner is preferable
- Ensure that the parts are completely dry before post-curing
- Allow to dry in a well-ventilated area for at least 30 minutes, or use compressed air for 2 minutes
- Polymerise in a high-power chamber for 20-30 minutes at 65 °C
- Recommended curing wavelength: 300-410 nm
Safety
- 3D printing with resins involves the use of chemicals: always act with caution and use the personal protective equipment indicated in the safety data sheets.
- Always wear respiratory protection when sanding or cutting resin objects
- Always use nitrile gloves when handling uncured resins or objects

- Questions(FAQs)
