- Description
Kratos PCCF10 offers all the benefits of Kratos PC, with the addition of 10 per cent carbon fibre. It uses low-warp technology combined with carbon fibre reinforcement, resulting in a unique set of properties. It allows large, very rigid and impact-resistant components to be 3D printed, making carbon-filled polycarbonate a truly advanced engineering filament.
Kratos PC CF10 has good resistance to moisture, UV, chemicals and abrasion. It is ideal for printing components intended for demanding operating conditions. In addition, it is heat resistant up to 150°C and enables the production of large, durable and precise parts with almost zero warping.Key Features
- Kratos PC + 10% carbon fibre
- HDT B: 139°C / Vicat: 150°C
- Rigid, durable and impact resistant
- Good UV resistance
- Compatible with high-speed printing up to 200 mm/s
Applications
- Automotive components
- Functional prototyping
- End-use parts
- Industrial equipment
- Electronic components
- Carbon fibre reinforcement
The addition of carbon fibre significantly improves material properties:
- Increased rigidity
- Reduced weight
- Increased tensile strength
- Improved dimensional stability
- Reduced shrinkage and warping
- Improved heat resistance
- Improved chemical resistance
- Matt finish that masks the lines of layer
This makes carbon-reinforced filaments extremely versatile for many 3D printing applications.
General printing guidelines *
Nozzle size: ≥ 0.6 mm Height layer: ≥ 0.2 mm Closed chamber: recommended Print temperature: ± 270 - 310°C Heated plate: ± 100 - 130°C Fan: 0 - 25%. Adhesion: PC-specific adhesive Drying: 75°C for 24 hours Dry box: recommended * The parameters indicated are guidelines and may vary depending on the printer.
Pre-drying
Kratos PC CF10 is hygroscopic, therefore it is necessary to dry the filament at 75°C for approximately 24 hours before use. For best results, we recommend printing directly from a dry box.
Abrasiveness and nozzle
Carbon fibre filaments are highly abrasive and quickly wear out brass nozzles. We recommend using: hardened steel or ruby nozzles minimum diameter 0.6 mm
Adhesion to the plane
For best adhesion: use a specific adhesive for polycarbonate and print with brim to reduce warping.
Closed chamber
Suitable for open printers for small parts. Closed chamber recommended for large parts.
Storage
Store in a dry, dark place with humidity < 15%
Recommended temperature: 18-25°C
Keep away from humidity, sunlight and heat sources.
Shelf life: up to 24 months if stored correctly.
For best performance, we recommend drying the material before use and printing from dry box.Package contains: 1 x Kratos PC CF10 1.75mm - Formfutura

- Questions(FAQs)
